We are currently in Phase III of our Blueprint for Change
We aggressively seek and implement systemic solutions to racial and socio-economic inequities plaguing the Alachua County region.
Strengthening families and breaking the cycle of generational poverty through better access to child care, transportation, early education, support and mentoring.
Addressing schools’ achievement gaps, disparities in school discipline, access to early learning opportunities and a need to improve college/career readiness.
Focusing on the lack of affordable low- and moderate-income housing, the depressed level of home ownership among these residents and disparities in bus service for low-income neighborhoods.
Studying issues such as recidivism, jail diversion, the decriminalization of drugs and homelessness, mental health, racial disparities and disproportionate juvenile arrests.
